14inch x 20 inch of Baby Krishna - Bal Gopal by Sharma Publications.
Krishna is worshipped as the eighth avatar of the god Vishnu and also as the supreme God in his own right. He is the god of compassion, tenderness, love and is one of the most popular and widely revered among Indian divinities. In his child form krishna is often shown with a laddu in his hand as he was known for having a sweet tooth. He is often referred to as Laddu Gopal.
Krishna's birthday is celebrated every year by Hindus on Krishna Janmashtami according to the lunisolar Hindu calendar, which falls in late August or early September of the Gregorian calendar. Although Krishna is regularly worshiped in his baby form it is the festival of Janmastami where he is worshiped the most in his baby form and he is placed in a jhula (swing) where he is rocked to mark his arrival into the world.
